Accessibility Statement

Version 2026-08.a
1. Our commitment
Aionluma S.r.l.s. qualifies as a micro-enterprise under applicable European Union and Italian law. As a result, we are exempt from the mandatory accessibility requirements of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882, as implemented in Italy by Legislative Decree 82/2022).
We take accessibility seriously regardless. We voluntarily work toward the WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines across the public site, checkout, vault, and account area, and we treat accessibility as continuous work rather than a finished state. This is a genuine, ongoing commitment — not a warranty that every page or feature fully conforms at every moment. We keep improving, and the reports we receive (Section 5) directly help us get there.
2. What we have built for accessibility
Measures we have implemented and test as we go include:
- Keyboard operation of the core journey — the entry airlock, sign-in, the forge (including the sequence selector), the vault, and your account.
- Visible focus indicators on interactive controls.
- Semantic buttons and links, with ARIA labels on custom controls such as the consent switches and the sequence slider.
- Colour-contrast targets of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for interactive elements.
- Structured, landmarked markup (headings, lists, and page regions).
We don't claim exhaustive coverage — some areas are stronger than others, and we prioritise the paths most people use.
3. Navigating with a keyboard
The whole core journey can be operated without a mouse. This is how it works, screen by screen:
Everywhere
- Tab moves forward through links, buttons, and fields; Shift + Tab moves backward. A visible focus ring always shows where you are.
- Enter follows the focused link or button; Space also activates buttons and toggles (including the consent switches).
Sign-in
- Type your email and press Enter to request a code — no button click needed.
- The 6-digit code is entered one digit per box: typing a digit moves you to the next box automatically, Backspace in an empty box moves you back, and you can paste the whole code into the first box in one go.
The forge — sequence selector
The selector is built as two keyboard sliders; each announces its own instructions to screen readers.
- Selection slider: Arrow keys move your selection along the clip; hold Shift with the arrow keys to shorten or extend it; Home and End jump to the start or end of the clip.
- Zoom-window slider (appears on longer clips): Arrow keys slide the zoom window; Page Up / Page Down jump a whole window at a time; Home and End go to the clip edges.
The vault
- Enter or Space opens the focused artifact card.
- While the vault is open, focus stays trapped inside it — Tab cycles through its controls and can never land behind the overlay.
- Escape closes the top-most layer first: an open dialog, then an open drawer, then the vault itself. When the vault closes, focus returns to where you were before.
If any step of this journey doesn't work with your keyboard or assistive technology, that is a bug to us — please tell us via Section 5.
4. Known limitations
- Sign-in / session verification. We protect sessions with Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs invisibly for almost everyone. In rare cases, assistive technology may have difficulty with a challenge. If that happens, email [email protected] and we will help you verify your session and continue.
- Checkout. Checkout uses Stripe's Address and Payment elements, which follow Stripe's own accessibility posture. If a field is unreachable with your assistive technology, contact [email protected] and we will help you complete your order (assisted checkout).
- Video preview. The motion preview inside the vault does not include captions: the source clips are user-submitted and captioning is not applicable to the physical flipbook output.
5. Reporting a problem
If you encounter a barrier, please write to [email protected]. Tell us the page, the assistive technology you were using, and what you were trying to do. We aim to acknowledge within 3 working days and to work with you toward a solution. If our first response doesn't resolve things, reply and we'll keep at it — accessibility feedback is something we act on, not file away.
6. Third-party services
Parts of the experience are delivered by third parties whose interface elements follow their own accessibility posture — most visibly Cloudflare (Turnstile) and Stripe (checkout). We do not intentionally override the accessibility defaults of any embedded widget. For the complete, maintained list of the providers we rely on, see our Subprocessors page.
