Version 2026-10.a
1. Parties & Contact
These Terms of Sale govern every order placed on aionluma.com. The site is operated by Aionluma S.r.l.s., a società a responsabilità limitata semplificata incorporated in Italy, with registered office at Via Baumueller Boden 7, 39030 San Lorenzo di Sebato (BZ), Italy. VAT / fiscal code 03346710217, Registro Imprese BZ 03346710217, REA BZ-252249, share capital €1,000.00 fully paid up. Full statutory details are on our Imprint.
For questions about an order, contact [email protected]. For legal notices, use [email protected] or our certified email (PEC) [email protected].
2. The Offer
AIONLUMA forges physical artifacts — printed booklets — from a video sequence you upload. Every artifact is produced individually from your sequence. It is therefore a personalized good within the meaning of Art. 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Art. 59(c) of the Italian Consumer Code (D.lgs. 206/2005). This has specific consequences for the right of withdrawal — see Section 5.
You may order a single artifact (The Artifact), two copies (The Echo), or three or more copies (The Archive). Each additional Archive copy is priced per the schedule shown at checkout.
Product safety. Your artifact is a printed paper booklet intended as a keepsake object — it is not a toy and contains no electronics or hazardous components. As with any packaged product, please keep the plastic wrapping away from babies and small children to avoid any risk of suffocation. The economic operator responsible for this product within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (General Product Safety Regulation) is Aionluma S.r.l.s.; our full identification and contact details are on the Imprint.
3. Price, VAT & Currency
All prices are shown in Euros and include EU VAT. The price you see on the tier selection screen is the final amount we charge you — there are no additional fees or surcharges added at checkout.
For shipments outside the European Union, local VAT or sales tax is not included and may be assessed on arrival by your destination's customs authority. See our Shipping & Customs policy for the full explanation.
4. Delivery & Shipping
Shipping cost is included in the displayed price and we ship via tracked courier to the 54 destinations listed in our Shipping policy (the EU-27 plus 27 further countries). Delivery times, carrier, and the treatment of customs duties outside the EU are described in the Shipping & Customs policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
Risk of Loss: We bear the risk of loss or damage to your artifact during transit. This risk passes to you — or a third party designated by you, such as a gift recipient — only when physical possession of the parcel is acquired.
5. Right of Withdrawal
Under ordinary EU consumer law, a consumer who buys at a distance has 14 days from delivery to withdraw from the contract without stating a reason (Art. 52 D.lgs. 206/2005, transposing Art. 9 of Directive 2011/83/EU).
This 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to AIONLUMA artifacts. Each artifact is forged from a video sequence you uploaded and is therefore a personalized good. Art. 59(c) of the Italian Consumer Code (Art. 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU) expressly excludes the right of withdrawal for "supplies of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalized."
You confirm your awareness of this exclusion when you place the order. You may still ask us to cancel: contact [email protected], and we will honor any cancellation request that reaches us before your artifact has been transmitted to our production partner. Production is set in motion as soon as your payment succeeds, so this window is short.
Gift Tokens: For the purchase of unredeemed gift tokens, the standard 14-day right of withdrawal applies. However, you expressly agree at checkout that if this token is redeemed (by you or your designated recipient) and the forging process begins within this 14-day period, the contract is fully performed and the right of withdrawal is permanently extinguished.
5.1 Bulk Orders and Sample-First Fulfillment
For orders of 20 or more artifacts, you may opt into Sample-First Fulfillment at checkout. By selecting this, you agree to a staged performance of the contract:
- The Sample Phase: We will produce and expedite one sample artifact. Because this sample is custom-forged to your specifications, the standard €55 artifact price and a €45 fast-track service fee are non-refundable upon delivery (under Art. 59(a) and 59(c) of the Italian Consumer Code).
- The Evaluation Window: Upon receiving the sample, you have 14 calendar days to evaluate it. You may approve it early, or reject it, from your Vault or by contacting [email protected]. If you do not explicitly reject the sample within this 14-day window, your silence constitutes binding approval to proceed with batch production.
- The Bulk Phase: Upon your approval (or the expiration of the 14-day window), we will immediately begin batch production and dispatch of the remaining artifacts.
If you reject the sample during the evaluation window, we will cancel the unperformed remainder of your order and refund your payment in full, less the €100 already incurred for the non-refundable sample and fast-track service.
6. Legal Guarantee of Conformity
Your statutory right to a 24-month legal guarantee of conformity for manufacturing defects, missing parts, or goods not matching their description, under Art. 128–135 of the Italian Consumer Code, remains in force in full and is unaffected by Section 5.
If your artifact arrives structurally defective or does not match what you ordered, contact [email protected] and we will repair, replace, or refund as appropriate.
Assessing Conformity, Privacy Deletion, and Returns: Because your artifact is custom-forged from your uploaded sequence, assessing conformity claims related to image resolution, color fidelity, or framing requires comparing the physical printed artifact against your original approved digital preview. For your privacy, we automatically purge your digital sequence 90 days after delivery (or sooner if you manually delete it from your vault).
You acknowledge that once the source sequence is purged, it becomes technically impossible for AIONLUMA to validate conformity claims specifically regarding visual fidelity, and a direct replacement is impossible. In such cases where a refund becomes the applicable remedy, you bear the burden of demonstrating the defect. We reserve the right to require clear photographic evidence and the physical return of the allegedly defective artifact for our inspection. We will issue a refund only upon our receipt and verification of the returned defective goods. Claims resulting from misuse, accident, or normal wear and tear are strictly excluded.
7. Payment & Order Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Supported payment methods are shown at checkout and may include cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and local methods depending on your country.
The contract is concluded when you receive the order confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including suspected fraud, unverifiable address, or content that violates Section 8. Payment is refunded in full for any order we cancel before your artifact has been transmitted to our production partner, and net of unrecoverable third-party production costs where we cancel after that point.
8. Content You Upload & Intellectual Property
You retain all rights in the video sequence you upload. By using AIONLUMA you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process that sequence solely for the purpose of forging your artifact and delivering it to you.
You promise that the sequence is yours to upload — that you own the footage or have the necessary permission to use it, and that it does not infringe any third-party rights, is not illegal, and does not depict child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content inciting violence. We reserve the right to refuse or delete uploads that breach these rules and to report unlawful content to competent authorities.
AIONLUMA, the forge aesthetic, the artifact design system, the website, and all associated trademarks are our intellectual property. Buying an artifact does not transfer those rights.
9. Age Restriction
AIONLUMA is not directed at children. You must be at least 14 years old to use the service or to receive a gift link, and at least 18 years old to place a paid order or to be the buyer of a gift link. The 14-year threshold reflects Art. 2-quinquies of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code, which sets the digital age of consent under Art. 8 GDPR at 14 in Italy.
If we have reasonable grounds to believe a recipient or buyer does not meet these thresholds, we may refuse the order, void the gift, refund the buyer, and delete any uploaded sequence and associated personal data. A parent or guardian who believes their child has supplied data in violation of this clause may write to [email protected] and we will erase the data without undue delay.
10. Copyright & Permissions in Uploaded Sequences
You retain the copyright in the sequence you upload. You confirm that you own that copyright or have obtained the necessary written permission from every rights-holder whose protected work, performance, voice, image or likeness is recognisable in the sequence (Italian Copyright Law L. 633/1941; EU Directive 2001/29/EC; the right to one's own image under Art. 10 Italian Civil Code).
You authorise AIONLUMA, on a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free basis, to store, process, render, frame-extract, colour-grade, print, and dispatch your sequence solely for the purpose of forging your artifact and providing customer service. No further licence is granted: we will not display your sequence publicly, train models on it, or reuse it for any other purpose. When the artifact is delivered or you exercise your right to erasure, the sequence is purged from production systems.
If we receive a credible copyright or takedown notice — under Italian or EU law, or the US DMCA where a US recipient is involved — we may pause processing, refuse to ship, or delete the artifact and refund the order. Send copyright notices and counter-notices in writing to [email protected], or by post to Aionluma S.r.l.s., Via Baumueller Boden 7, 39030 San Lorenzo di Sebato (BZ), Italy.
You agree to indemnify Aionluma S.r.l.s., its directors, employees, and print partners against reasonable costs and third-party claims that arise directly from your breach of the content and copyright warranties in Sections 8, 10 and 11 — for example, a claim that your uploaded sequence infringes someone's rights. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own negligence or breach, and it does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.
11. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, request, or attempt to forge an artifact from any sequence that is unlawful, that infringes another person's rights, or that depicts the abuse or sexual exploitation of any person — in particular any minor — non-consensual intimate imagery, or the incitement of violence or hatred against a person or group. AIONLUMA is not a platform for pornographic or adult content and does not produce artifacts of that nature.
We screen uploads before forging. If a sequence breaches this clause we will refuse the order, cancel the forge, and refund any payment net of unrecoverable third-party fees. Where we have reasonable grounds to suspect a severe violation or criminal offence, or where the law requires it, we reserve the right to preserve the relevant material and report it to the competent authorities, and we may suspend or close the account involved.
12. Gift Links & Founder Invitations
Golden links (founder invitations) and gift links (listed on the invoice as "AIONLUMA Blank") are single-use: each entitles the person who redeems it to one artifact. A golden link is free; a gift link is a gift prepaid by its buyer. Both bypass payment but still require a valid shipping address.
Passing a link on. A gift link is meant to be given: the buyer may send or forward it to anyone, and whoever redeems it first receives the artifact. We cannot see who holds a link, so a gift link redeemed by someone other than the intended recipient counts as redeemed. A golden link is personal to the person invited and may not be sold or passed on.
Validity. A gift link is valid for 12 months from the date of payment; the date is stated in the buyer's order confirmation. A golden link is valid for the period stated when it is issued.
After the validity period. Expiry ends the link's ability to start a forge, not the value the buyer paid. If an unredeemed gift link has expired, the buyer (or the recipient, on the buyer's behalf) may write to [email protected] and ask us to extend it or to refund the price paid for it to the buyer. We may also extend a link before it expires. This does not shorten any limitation period that applies to the purchase under the law of the buyer's country, and it leaves the 14-day right of withdrawal on an unredeemed gift link (see our Withdrawal page) unaffected.
Apart from that refund to the buyer, gift links cannot be exchanged for cash, and a golden link has no cash value.
13. Limitation of Liability
Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected by these Terms, including the legal guarantee of conformity described in Section 6. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for willful misconduct or gross negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by mandatory applicable law.
Subject to the above, our total liability for any claim arising directly from an order is limited to the amount paid for that order. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including, but not limited to, lost profits or lost data).
14. Data Protection
Our treatment of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
15. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by Italian law. The mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence (if elsewhere in the EU) continue to apply.
If we cannot resolve a dispute amicably and you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may bring proceedings in the competent court of your place of residence, and you may also turn to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body in your country. (The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.) If you are not a consumer, the courts of Bolzano, Italy have exclusive jurisdiction.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your order is the one that governs that order. Material changes will be communicated on the website or by email.
